Frequently Asked Questions

Are the thickeners in Planted Almond Drink with Coffee safe?

Yes, despite being additives (which generally do get a bad rep, and some can be dangerous), the Carrageenan and Gallan Gum used in Planted Almond Drink with Coffee have both been rigorously tested to check their safety, and have been deemed safe by multiple trustworthy sources.

Carrageenan has been determined a safe food additive with no limits on its use in food by the JECFA. Gellan gum has been approved for use by the European Union, the World Health Organization's Joint Council on Food Additives, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
