Frequently Asked Questions

What does carob taste like?

Carob powder and carob chips can and have been used as a one-to-one alternative to cocoa powder and chocolate chips in loads of recipes.

But does it taste like chocolate? Not quite; though comparable in a way, carob has much more of a nutty flavour. It is recommended that you swap only half the chocolate for carob in a recipe so that you can get a sense of and get used to carob’s unique flavour.
