Product Overview

Tempeh originates from Java, Indonesia. It’s normally fermented using a culture called rhizopus oligosporus, which is exactly what Marigold’s Tempeh is made with!

Why is the fermentation process so important? It’s this process that makes this food easy to digest! That makes this a great way to get in some plant-based protein.

Tempeh commonly comes in a packed form. Think of it as a slab or cake made out of soya. Marigold’s Fermented Vegan Tempeh comes in slices already so you can add this to soups or stews immediately with no additional preparation needed.

Marigold’s Fermented Vegan Tempeh in Spring Water also makes a great ingredient for cooking but you can actually eat the tempeh straight out of the can if you want to.

Ingredients

Soya Beans, Culture (rhizopus oligosporus), water, sea salt.
Allergy Information: Contains Soya

Frequently Asked Questions

You don’t actually have to cook this tempeh! It comes ready to eat. But you can cook delicious dishes with it. Tempeh usually comes in a neutral and earthy taste and could do better with some frying or seasoning.

I recommend this product

love the texture

I LOVE tempeh so much more than tofu. I think because of the texture. This stuff is really easy to use and i like it in salads and stirfrys.
