This is a great time to dive into some of the nutritional benefits of a plant-based diet. Much has been written about the ethical and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet. While we staunchly believe in these benefits, we think it is important to stress some of the potential health benefits as well.
No Animal Fats
Animal fats are found both within animal meat and the fat around it. Different meats produce different amounts of animal fat. Animal fats supposedly have some health benefits, but they are also linked to cardiovascular issues. Weak heart health, high blood pressure, strokes, and other issues have been linked to eating high amounts of fatty meats.
These are particularly in red meats as well, one of the highest-consumed varieties in the Western world. Though many products market themselves as ‘low fat’ or ‘lean’, it is hard to fully quantify the amount of animal fat that is in them.
Not only are all of our products animal-fat free, but they are also largely completely free of saturated fats. Saturated fats are the more harmful, less nutrient-significant fats. A large portion of the fats found in vegan foods are good fats that are helpful to your metabolic systems. Fat isn’t necessarily bad, it just depends on what fats you’re eating.

Benefits Of Plant-Based Eating
Plant-based eating has been linked with several health issues. One of the main ones is reduced inflammation. People have reported that steering away from animal foods and adopting a plant-based diet has caused a significant reduction of inflammation in joints and in the body. This is a general link and not necessarily specifically attached to specific foods.
There has been a link to improved kidney function and reduced incidence of diabetes in plant-based diet followers. One of the benefits of a plant-based diet is that your body seems to process food a lot easier, leading to better kidney function.
One of the advantages of a plant-based diet is a reported improvement in gut health. Gut health is linked to so many issues in your body. Auto-immune issues, cognitive issues, diseases, etc are all linked to gut health in many instances. Plant-based diets have been reported to improve these issues.
High Fiber Count
Many plant-based diets boast a high fiber content. This comes from many sources such as beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. Fiber has an incredible array of benefits for your body. One main one is improved satiety (feeling full) which can help with weight control and general mood.
Fiber also helps your digestive system immensely. If you have any bowel issues or issues with digestion then an increased fiber content will be beneficial for your body. Vegan diets tend to have a lot of lentils and beans in particular. They are often eaten as a source of protein but they have a wonderful array of micronutrients and fiber as well!
Using All-Natural Ingredients
One of the benefits of plant-based eating is the fact that it is a new, innovative industry. So many products are being created to help reduce our strain on the environment and to improve health. The way this often manifests is in ingredient transparency. The onus on companies to provide minimally artificial ingredients in their foods.
An example of this is in vegan chocolates and sweets. Many companies will use things like beet juice to color things red etc. This helps to keep your body as natural as possible - on of the main aims for eating for everyone.
