Zest’s Vegan Basil Pesto brings the classic flavour of basil pesto, central to Italian cuisine and useful far beyond, to the vegan taste arsenal. 

By using hazelnuts, sesame oil, cashew nuts and Brazil nuts in place of cheese, Zest has produced a vegan basil pesto that stands the test of authenticity.

With a flavour that is rich, nutty, bold, tart and dominated by fresh basil, Zest’s Vegan Basil Pesto can bring life to any dish it finds itself in!

The nuts are mixed with garlic purée, vinegars, salt, black pepper and, of course, fresh basil. As well as an authentic flavour, the texture of traditional pesto is preserved, as is its behaviour in the pot. 

Zest’s Vegan Basil Pesto can be stirred into freshly cooked pasta for a delish and simple dish, or it can be woven into more complicated sauces, just like the non-vegan pesto that inspired it.
