Product Overview

This Ground Arrowroot from Suma Wholefoods is a great gluten-free replacement for starch extract. This thickening agent gives a clear finish and has no flavour.

Use this Ground Arrowroot from Suma Wholefoods to thicken sauces, jellies or other kinds of desserts. Arrowroot is a more nutritious substitute for cornstarch, as it contains more dietary fibre and calcium.

Suma Wholefoods chooses only the highest quality, sustainable products. The packaging for this Ground Arrowroot is also 100% recyclable and the inner bag is completely compostable!

Instructions for Use

Mix the Arrowroot with cold water until completely dissolved. Add the mixture to the sauce or liquid that needs to be thickened, pouring slowly and stirring constantly. Thickening happens when reaching boiling temperatures and might keep happening when removed from heat (so keep stirring for a few minutes after to be safe). One tablespoon is enough to thicken one cup of liquid.
