Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a difference between sweet & sour sauce and sweet chilli sauce?

Though relatively similar to one another, there are a few key differences between the two. In terms of flavour profile, they are both sweet and tangy and they are also orangey in colour. One of the key ingredients in sweet and sour sauces – such as this Slightly Different Sweet & Sour sauce – is pineapple. This is absent in most sweet chilli sauces. Furthermore, there is no chilli in sweet and sour sauces, so sweet chilli by its very nature has more of a kick!
