How do I open a jar of Raw Health’s Sauerkraut?
Because Raw Health’s Sauerkraut is unpasteurised and still fermenting, a special “breathing” lid is used. This allows gasses from the fermentation process to escape, whilst preventing air from getting into your kraut.
To open, simply wedge a teaspoon under the teeth of the lid and lift. Repeat this at several points until you can peel it off. Resealing is easy - just replace the lid and squeeze the teeth around the jar to secure it back into place!
