Frequently Asked Questions

What is seitan?

Seitan was discovered in China almost 1500 years ago by Buddhist monks who realised that soaking wheat dough for hours removed the starch and turned it into a high protein, slightly chewy substance. Seitan has a savoury taste and has often been used as a meat alternative.

surprising

Had no idea what this was to be honest but always up for trying new vegan stuff. Its kind of like a sausage that u can slice. I chopped it up n put it in pasta which was pretty good, and i also tried it for breakfast with some fried potatoes. has a good flavour and price is good compared with stuff my supermarket has.
