Frequently Asked Questions

What is the story behind Clipper?

Clipper has been blessing the nation with its delicious range of teas since way back in 1984. It was first founded in Dorset by a couple of tea-drinkers who wanted to combine their passion for the hot beverage with their love for the planet.

Having started out selling high-quality Assam tea to local health shops and cafes, Clipper now boasts a wide range of over 150 teas that are sold in over 50 countries worldwide. Despite all of this, Clipper has stayed true to its roots, and every tea is blended in a factory based in Beaminster, Dorset.

Clipper has been on quite the journey. In 1994, it became the first Fairtrade tea company in the UK, and in 2018, it was the world’s first tea company to use fully biodegradable tea bags.
