Product Overview

Nori is a tasty and nutritious food that comes from the sea. Each Clearspring Wholefoods pack contains 10 sheets of nori that are farmed in Kyushu, Japan.

For more than 300 years, Japan has cultivated and harvested nori. They were gathered using nets that nestle just above the water’s surface, allowing the seaweed to get sunlight. The nets also keep the seaweed just below the surface to receive regular washing during high tide.

It’s only during the late winter that the seaweed is actually harvested. During the earlier parts of the season, seaweed continues to grow. Once they are gathered, the seaweed gets washed, cut into thin sheets, and dried.

Dried seaweed is a wonderful snack on its own. It’s got a great flavour and is highly nutritious. Clearspring Nori Sheets can also be lightly toasted with a light flame over a gas stove or burner. Once toasted, eat them straight or cut them into strips to garnish dishes like noodles or fried vegetables.

Nori sheets are more commonly used to make sushi rolls or rice wraps. If you don’t happen to finish the whole pack, the packaging is resealable and can keep the Dried Sea Vegetable Sheets fresher for longer.
