What is the story behind Vego?
Vego is an award-winning vegan chocolate brand based in Berlin, Germany.
Founded by Jan Niklas Schmidt (Nik) over a decade ago, Vego started out as a vegan, organic fast food restaurant based in his hometown, Berlin. Fuelled by a passion to create delicious vegan recipes, Nik teamed with Italian chocolatiers to develop the Vego Organic Whole Hazelnut Chocolate Bar.
It quickly gained popularity in Germany and internationally, and as a result, Nik decided to close the Vego restaurant in 2017 in order to focus all of his attention on his vegan chocolate products.
Since then, Vego has won various prestigious awards, including the Vegan Food UK Award for Best Vegan Chocolate.

This is the best vegan chocolate bar I've ever had. It's so rich and creamy. Even my most dairy loving non-vegans friends admit that it tastes delicious. I think because it's made with hazelnut milk as well as having whole hazelnuts in the chocolate it just has this great nutty flavour. And none of the "waxy" texture some chocolates have, it's really smooth.
