Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the Teapigs Everyday Brew Biodegradable Tea Temples?

Firstly, only use water fresh from the tap. Next, ensure you’re heating the water to the right temperature - black tea needs boiling water, so 100°C precisely. The tea to water ratio is important, too.

Use one tea temple per person and about 300ml of water - just right for an average-sized mug. Brew the tea for 3 minutes. The whole tea leaves require a decent brew time to properly infuse and permeate the water with their full flavour.

Using a pot? Warm it first to avoid lowering the temperature of the water. If making in a pot, put milk in the mug first and then the brewed tea will be the better sequence. However, if you’re making it in a mug, then pour the milk in second for best results, after the tea temple has been removed. All that’s left is to sit back and enjoy!
